ThinkingReen 2026, the sustainable Sicily challenge in Taormina: HeySun among the protagonists of the debate on renewable energy.

TAORMINA – The Sicily of the future, focused on clean energy, innovation, and sustainability, will be the protagonist of Thinkingreen – The Sustainable Economy Salon, scheduled for June 25-27, 2026 in Taormina.

The event, which will bring together representatives of institutions, academia, and businesses, will open on Thursday, June 25, at the NH Collection Taormina Hotel, with greetings from the Prefect of Messina, Cosima Di Stani, the Mayor of Taormina, Cateno De Luca, and the President of N.A. Thinkingreen, Michel Curatolo.

Among the most anticipated events of the opening day is the panel “Sicily: the 100% Renewable Challenge,” dedicated to the island’s energy prospects and the strategies needed to accelerate the path towards ecological transition.

Among the keynote speakers will be Nino Di Cavolo, president of SiciliaFiera and organizer of Heysun, a trade fair dedicated to the energy transition expo. He has been committed for years to promoting sustainable development models and bringing together businesses, institutions, and technological innovation.

Its participation takes on particular significance at a time when Sicily is called upon to play a strategic role in the national and Mediterranean energy landscape. Thanks to its natural resources and growing focus on renewable sources, the island has the potential to become one of Europe’s leading clean energy hubs.

“Sustainability is no longer a choice, but a necessity to ensure competitiveness, growth, and employment,” is the vision that has long accompanied Di Cavolo’s actions at the helm of SiciliaFiera, an organization that in recent years has established itself as a reference point for events dedicated to innovation, energy, and new technologies.

The roundtable will also include regional energy councilor Francesco Colianni, Uruguayan ambassador to Italy Alfredo Guillermo Bogliacini Llambi, university professors Rosario Lanzafame and Roberta Salomone, Sunleonard Energy general manager Stefano Salerno, ASM president Giuseppe Campagna, and Claudio Barbaro, undersecretary of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security.
