SiciliaFiera is a finalist for the 2025 MOBILITYACTION Award: sustainable mobility takes center stage at HEYSUN – the Energy Transition Expo.

Misterbianco (CT) – HEYSUN Energy Transition Expo shines a spotlight on sustainable mobility and places SiciliaFiera among the finalists of the MOBILITYACTION Award 2025, a prestigious European recognition for best practices in responsible and low-emission mobility.

HEYSUN Mobility Days: Putting Young People at the Center

The Mobility Days, organized within the HEYSUN Expo energy transition trade fair, a leading event for innovation and energy transition, were organized by SiciliaFiera, in collaboration with the European Parliament and with the patronage of the European Commission, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the Sicilian Regional Assembly (ARS), the Sicilian Region, the Metropolitan City of Catania, the Municipality of Catania, the Municipality of Misterbianco, and ASviS. For three days, over 1,000 students participated in hands-on activities dedicated to cycling, micromobility, road safety, and public transportation thanks to partnerships with: ACI – Automobile Club of Italy, AMTS – Catania Metropolitan Transport and Parking Company, Carabinieri Biodiversity Group, FIAB – Italian Federation for the Environment and Cycling, Futuro Solare, LIME, the Traffic Police, the Regional School Office (USR Sicilia), and the University of Catania. An experiential journey that allowed young people to test safe and sustainable travel solutions, engaging with institutions, local authorities, and local partners. The initiative demonstrated how education, active participation, and multilateral collaboration can have a tangible impact on daily habits, promoting inclusive, accessible, and environmentally friendly transportation models.

Being a finalist for the MOBILITYACTION Award 2025 confirms SiciliaFiera’s role as a strategic platform for the discussion and dissemination of best practices in the energy and environmental fields.
This recognition recognizes the work done during the HEYSUN Expo trade fair and reinforces the commitment to a future in which sustainable mobility is not an alternative, but the natural choice for new generations and the entire region.
