“The event represented a unique opportunity for the students: an educational
opportunity where the new generations, through participation in workshops,
enjoyed engaging experiences and reflected on both the importance of more informed transportation
choices and the use of renewable sources and clean energy.
The students, guided through a journey aimed at understanding the importance of
responsibly consuming the planet’s resources while respecting the environment, were motivated
to aspire to a smart city, in the fight against climate change.
The Headmaster of the Federico De Roberto High School in Catania, Professor Cinzia
Giuffrida, expressed great satisfaction with the participation and commitment
demonstrated by the students. “An event,” she stated, “that through practical
activities made the students not just spectators but active protagonists for a ‘sustainable’
future of which they will be architects and citizens.
